Parents: How We Work Together:
Parents play a vital role in their student’s growth, and collaborating with them strengthens the impact of Student Success Advising. I provide guidance, strategies, and insights to help parents support their student. Together, we focus on fostering independence and reinforcing positive habits and navigating challenges.
Below are some ways I work with parents to amplify their student’s success.
-
Set realistic, meaningful goals that guide academic and personal growth.
-
Create a supportive, structured environment at home that encourages habits for success
-
Encourage students to take ownership of their learning and pursue their talents and interests.
-
Reinforce self-discipline, respect for family, peers, and community, and accountability for choices.
-
Offer guidance during changes, including school transitions, stressful periods, and long-term planning.
-
Provide actionable strategies to support students while enhancing family wellbeing and collaboration.
-
Learn ways to help with
long-term planning for middle school, high school, and college admissions, including course selection, extracurricular focus, and application preparation.
While most of my work is directly with students, I also offer private sessions for parents who want individualized support.
At times I may also bring parents and students together for collaborative check-ins, but the focus of my work is on empowering students directly while providing parents with the guidance they need behind the scenes.
If you and your student are interested in working with me, please reach out to schedule your initial consultation.
